One of the outcomes of using AI to automate administrative tasks is having more time available to interact and prioritize the needs of patients. This is among the topics that Fortune’s Brainstorm AI co-chair Eileen Burbidge moderated in relation to AI’s impact on health care.

She is joined by Dr. Sunita Mishra, chief medical officer at Amazon Health Services, and Noor Shaker, founder and CEO of SPATIAL X to chat about how AI can help consumers with their health care needs and be more transparent about pricing if they’re using Amazon Health Services.

The group also chats about how important it is to build trust with customers, especially now that AI is being used more and more with each passing day. Dr. Sunita says it’s unreasonable to keep customers in the dark about how much their medication will cost until they reach the checkout—and that’s the problem her team is hoping to rectify. Amazon has doubled down on its expansion into the health care space following its purchase of primary-care company One Medical in 2022 for $3.9 billion.

Finally, the panel discusses how they are individually trying to establish trust with their customers and to ensure that patient’s data is being protected from being shared publicly using AI. Noor mentions that they do studies on specific populations rather than individuals and that the research is generalized.
