Sioux Empire United Way announces new CEO [Video]

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Sioux Empire United Way (SEUW) announced this week that Lisa Romkema has been selected to serve as the organization’s CEO, effective July 29.

“We are thrilled to welcome Lisa Romkema as the next CEO. Her extensive fundraising experience, strong connections to the nonprofit and business communities, and strategic mindset make her an excellent fit” said Kate Kotzea, SEUW Board Chair.

Romkema previously served as Campaign Director from 2010 to 2015 and has nearly 14 years of experience in fundraising and nonprofit leadership.

Most recently Romkema served as a consultant for Maximizing Excellence, LLC.

She will work closely with the board, staff, volunteers and community partners to continue making a difference in the lives of children, vulnerable adults and people in crisis.
