PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – The Pioneer Courthouse Square and Portland Festival Symphony commemorated 40 years on Saturday.
Throughout the years, the square – which is known as the city’s living room – has hosted thousands of diverse community events that have attracted millions of people to the heart of Portland.

To celebrate, the community was invited down to the square for a festive evening of music and fun.
The square was dedicated back in 1984 with the names of 60,000 Portlanders inscribed on the paving bricks. That legacy continues with more than 85,000 inscribed bricks and the opportunity to add more.
