Phoenix Job Corps employee recognized with national award [Video]

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — For nearly four decades, a Valley woman has been helping community members hone their skills in hops of finding a job. Now, she’s getting national attention for her work!

Nancy Dean from the Phoenix Job Corps Center received the Staff Motivator of the Year Award during a ceremony in Washington, D.C. Hundreds of people gathered in our nations capitol last week for the Job Corps Leadership Summit as the program celebrates its 60th anniversary this year.

During her 39-year tenure, Nancy’s colleagues say she has given immeasurable encouragement and support to students and fellow staff members. The Phoenix Job Corps Center director says she is a crucial member of the team and deserving of the award.

To add to her list of accolades, Nancy was also one of seven people inducted into the Job Corps Hall of Fame! Congrats, Nancy!
