CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Many of your neighbors and friends are preparing for an honor run tonight in memory of police Officer Kyle Hicks.
The 32-year-old was killed in the line of duty after responding to a domestic violence call just over a week ago.
Monday night’s Honor Run will take place at 6:30 at Water’s Edge Park.
Members of the community are encouraged to attend to support the run.
One request for those attending –is to wear blue.
The run will take place along Shoreline Drive highlighted in the route image.
The one-mile path’s route is intended to ensure safety for runners and does not cross too many streets.
Organizer Laura Perez Flores said in a statement that she’s pleased to see so much support for the run.
“Thank you to everyone that is sharing and supporting this Honor Run. It is so nice to see Corpus Christi coming together for one of our own.”
