Normal Town Councilperson announces bid for Mayoral position [Video]

NORMAL (25News Now) – A Normal Town Councilwoman said she wants to be the Town of Normal’s next mayor.

Kathleen Lorenz announced her candidacy for Normal’s top job Monday morning.

She was elected to a third term on the Normal Town Council in 2023.

In a statement, she said she wants to build upon the town’s success while leading it into a new era of enhanced community collaboration with local entities to address the mutual issues facing Bloomington-Normal.

Incumbent Mayor Chris Koos and fellow councilwoman Chemberly Harris have also announced their candidacy.
