SOME iPhone users have been left baffled after their Apple ID was randomly reset – leaving some locked out of their accounts.

Overnight, iPhone users took to social media to complain about being logged out.

Affected customers had to enter their passcode to get back into iCloud, while others had to wait an hour to get back in.

One user posted a comment which read: “Support wouldn’t explain what happened, only saying ‘sometimes random security improvements are added to your account’, which I thought was very weird.”

Another said: “I’m in the wave. Also wiped out all of my App specific passwords.”

An Apple customer posted: ” Yes I lost all my app specific passwords too.
