APPLE is gearing up to release a free iPhone upgrade for millions later this year.

But for some unlucky users there won’t be any fancy new perks.

iOS 18 is expected to be jam-packed with fresh features powered by artificial intelligence (AI).

This could mean a much smarter and more powerful version of Siri similar to ChatGPT.

Apple expert Mark Gurman from Bloomberg recently wrote in his newsletter that iOS 18 is “seen within the company as one of the biggest iOS updates — if not the biggest — in the company’s history”.

And we could get our first glimpse of the new iOS in a matter of weeks.

Apple is hosting its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) from June 10, which is when the company usually talks big on software.
