It’s been almost a month since two-year-old Violet Satterfield died in a drowning accident. Folks in the Arab community rallied around her family in a very special way Saturday.

One after the other, after the other. Bikers from all over came to CJ’s saloon in Arab to ride for Vy.

Debbie Burgett considered Violet family. She couldn’t believe how many people showed up to support the Satterfield family.

“I almost cried when I saw how many people was coming through the door,” Burgett said.

Tragedy struck last month when little Violet breathed her last breath. She drowned in her family pool, and spent more than a week in the hospital with no brain activity. Violet eventually passed away.

“She just brightened up the room,” Burgett explained. “She did. She was sweet to everybody.”
