Franklin Wall Flowers: The story behind the mural [Video]

FRANKLIN, Ky. (WBKO) – If you have recently visited downtown Franklin, you may have noticed brightly colored paintings of flowers stretched across the side of a building in the square.

The idea for this vibrant display of flowers came from Suni Carver-Gregory, who has owned the building since 2016 and decided it needed a facelift.

“It was important to me to find a way that I could kind of contribute to the growth of my community,” she said.

She hired Katie Kinder, an artist and her childhood friend, to paint the full-scale floral mural on the side of the building.

The process has been a year in the making, with the final clear coat being put on the mural on Tuesday.
