Flower Power! A tiny hill on Turpin Road transformed into a flower tower of colors [Video]

It was just a little hill in front of a house, just off a busy side street in Anchorage, covered in dandelions. So one day four years ago, homeowner Bernita Boyse thought, “I’m going to spruce up my little window to the world with some flowers,” especially purple ones — her favorite color. Bernita admits she did not have much of a green thumb, but she started with a couple of plants and a lot of determination. She started spending hours and hours on that little hill in front of her house planting various flowers, learning, and evening getting a good little hillside workout along the way. Four years later and countless days off spent on her knees and even laying down to plant a few “more” flowers, she has a wonderful little corner of the neighborhood she can be proud of … and it’s getting noticed by her neighbors, …
