Dauphin Island officials announce parking system for 2024 season [Video]

DAUPHIN ISLAND, Ala. (WALA) – If you’re planning to head to Dauphin Island for a little getaway, here are some things about parking that you need to know before you go.

The town is now using ParkMobile, an automated parking system. You can download the app, pay online via text or Google Pay. As with last year, if you pay at one beach, you will be able to park at any of the three beaches on that same day without any additional fees.

Peak time fees will remain $10.

If you live on the island or you own property there, you still get to park for free anywhere on the island, but you must have the blue decal available from the police department. Driver’s licenses and other forms of identification will not work, officials said.
