Coreys Network hosts 11th annual vigil for unsolved homicides [Video]

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (KCTV) – A local support group is trying to raise awareness of a persistent problem in the Kansas City community. Corey’s Network hosted a vigil for unsolved homicides across the Kansas City metro on Sunday night. More than 700 posters, each representing an unsolved homicide case from the area, were placed in the ground to provide a stunning visual of the wide breadth of the problem.

“You go to bed thinking about it and you wake up thinking it was a nightmare that you are waking up from,” said Randy Hill. Hill’s son, Dylan, was murdered six years ago. His murder remains unsolved. “It’s a never-ending nightmare. Holidays get worse every year. It just tears a family apart.”
