Blazing Saddles Ride and Run celebrated 8th annual community bike ride | News [Video]

BIXBY, Okla. — Big Wheel Events announced its annual Blazing Saddles Bike Ride that took place on August 10. 

This event aimed to bring together cyclists of all ages and skill levels for a day of fun, fitness, and community spirit.

The ride began at Bridge Church at 7:30 a.m. with participants following a scenic route throughout the heart of Bixby and in to the rural areas of Beggs, Morris, and Mounds.

Riders chose between a 7-mile route for beginners and a 107-mile route for more experienced cyclists.

Along the way, there were rest stops, refreshments and support from dedicated volunteers.

“We are thrilled to host this event once again,” said Buster Brown, owner of Bixby Bicycles. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together, enjoy cycling outdoors, and promote a healthy lifestyle.”
