Anchorage Parks and Recreation volunteers are transforming Goose Lake Park in Anchorage into Haunted and Enchanted trails this weekend only.
“One night we have a haunted, spooky, frightening trail where it’s almost like a haunted house in the woods. And then the next day, we make it a beautiful fairy for is full of gnomes and princesses and fairies,” said Ellen Devine, community engagement coordinator with Anchorage Parks and Recreation.
Volunteers are thrilled as they pick up their costumes and pick out their accessories, from tiaras to face masks.
“My first year ever attending this event or being a part of it, I got to help build a lot of the props and do a lot of the set design, and so I’m just really excited to be a part of seeing all these people get together,” said Brandon Haslett with Anchorage Parks and Recreation.
