PORTER, Okla. — Porter Public Schools said the Pirate community is mourning the death of a seventh-grade student.
The school district released a statement from Superintendent Chris Sherwood on Thursday. He said “our hearts are heavy today” as they mourn the loss of Isaiah Marshall, a seventh grader at Porter Consolidated Schools.
“Isaiah was a treasured member of our school family, and we extend our sincere sympathy and support to his loved ones and friends during this difficult time,” Sherwood said.
Sherwood said counselors will be available on Friday and throughout the week.
