MCSD August Golden Apple Award: Carly Allen [Video]

MONTROSE, Colo. (KREX) — The first month of school is always crazy for teachers, but for those who have to introduce the kiddos to grade school, it can be extra special. This month, WesternSlopeNow gets to surprise our next Golden Apple Award winner who does just that!

Mrs. Carly Allen is a first grade teacher at Oak Grove Elementary School in Montrose. While fairly new at the school, she’s always finding new ways to engage with and support her students.

“I love this school. I love the community. I love the parent involvement, and the students,” says Allen. “It just feels like everybody really wants to be a part of education, which I love.”

Her willingness to embrace new ideas and techniques reflects her deep commitment to their success, consistently going above and beyond to meet their needs.
