Metroparks Toledo hosting open house Aug. 17 for new building [Video]

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – The Metroparks Toledo is hosting an open house on Aug. 17 for the community to see the new Glass City Enrichment Center.

The event is called “Meet Me at the Enrichment Center.” More than twenty organizations will be in attendance raffling off prizes and doing several giveaways. The giveaway items will help kids going back to school which starts in the coming weeks.

Huntington Bank is sponsoring the event. There will be several activities and an ice cream truck to create a fun atmosphere for the kids.

“We know that school starts next week so some of the items that we will be raffling and giving away are to ensure that kiddos will get a good head start with some of their back-to-school supplies,” Director of Education Programming Shannon Hughes said.
