Azad’s Martial Arts Center continues helping out local students | News [Video]

CHICO, Calif. – About 250 kids in our community will be sporting brand-new backpacks to start off the school year. 

Azad’s Martial Arts Center has been hosting a backpack giveaway since 1999, intending to make sure kids from low-income families have everything they need to focus on learning. 

Action News Now and Telemundo donated dozens of backpacks to support this year’s drive. We spoke with Grandmaster Farshad Azad about their effort.
