Shaker Heights to hold community workshop on plan to expand recreation facilities [Video]

SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio — Shaker Heights residents can share their thoughts on what should be included in the city’s strategic plan to expand its recreation facilities, in the coming days.

An in-person workshop will take place from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Stephanie Tubbs Jones Community Building on Lee Road. And the last of 15 neighborhood pop-up informational sessions is set for Saturday, Aug. 10 during the Chagrin-Lee Block Party at the intersection of Chagrin Boulevard and Lee Road. That session begins at noon and lasts until 4 p.m.

The city is eying to build new recreation facilities or amenities at four spots: Shaker Heights Middle School, Thornton Park, Chelton Park where the Shaker School District Bus Depot is located, and at the Stephanie Tubbs Jones Community Building.
