Free showers staying at least another week in Spencer, IA [Video]

SPENCER, Iowa (KTIV) – Many Spencer residents who are still depending on free public showers are breathing a sigh of relief as P&S showers have been sponsored for another week.

In collaboration with the City of Spencer, the Spencer Chamber Foundation will be covering the expenses for this service, allowing those showers to remain free to the community.

P&S Showers are located north of Casey’s at 411 W. 18th Street in Spencer, just across the street from the Clay County Fairgrounds.

The Chamber Foundation tells KTIV its Grant Review Committee will reevaluate the need for this service and determine if an extension is appropriate prior to August 14th.
