GFPS votes to add baseball in 2026 [Video]

GREAT FALLS — At the Great Falls Public School Board of Trustees meeting on Monday, August 5, 2024, a huge swing was made toward adopting high school boys’ baseball.

It’s clear that the Great Falls community wants high school baseball. After support was shown at the June 24 trustee meeting, there were three options going forward: adopt a plan for 2025, adopt a plan for 2026, or do not adopt a plan at all. On Monday, a motion was put forward.

This motion had four contingencies. First, that a committee be established to work on the specifics of the plan.

Second, that the committee is guided by the four factors laid out by Mike Henneberg back in June.

Third, the final plan must be submitted to the board no later than June 1, 2025, and fourth, they must make sure the plan addresses Title IX.
