COLUMBIA, Missouri — Ohio has an opportunity to bolster support for at-risk communities at a minimal cost to taxpayers. Senate Bill 159 would create a tax credit for donations to pregnancy resource centers (PRCs). This would provide a low-cost incentive for these nonprofit organizations to continue the important work they do for women and families on limited incomes who are facing unplanned pregnancies.

PRCs provide crucial support at an uncertain time in a woman’s life. Free ultrasounds, pregnancy tests, counseling, and critical materials like diapers, baby formula, and car seats are just some of the services and products they make available to clients. These centers are often staffed by licensed medical professionals, ensuring that women receive high-quality care.
