Grandview Township Volunteer Fire Departments annual Firemans Festival [Video]

NEW MATAMORAS, Ohio (WTAP) -The community came together to support a volunteer fire department in Washington County this evening.

The Grandview Township Volunteer Fire Department (GTVFD) held its annual Fireman’s Festival at the New Matamoras Elementary School.

They had activities for everyone, including live music, games, food, wagon rides, and much more.

It means a lot to GTVFD Chief Travis Rinard to see the help and support from the community.

“Year after year, it’s always great. They (the community) come out all day long and help support us. We couldn’t do it without the lady’s auxiliary. They do a great job, and they are a great support group for us to have. Like I said, the community comes out and does well for us,” said Chief Rinard.

The funds raised will help with equipment costs according to Chief Rinard.
