Applications open for West Monroe Mayors Youth Council [Video]

WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE) – Applications for the 2024-2025 Mayor’s Youth Council have opened and the City of West Monroe is encouraging high schoolers to apply.

The Mayor’s Youth Council helps students develop their leadership skills through volunteer work and by teaching them how the municipal government works. Youth council members will also provide insight into issues affecting the community.

Sophomores, juniors, and seniors who live in West Monroe or West Quachita Parish can apply.

Applications can be picked up on the first floor of City Hall at 2305 North 7th Street, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Applications can also be found on the City of West Monroe’s website.
