OZARK, Ala. (WTVY) – The Eagles are still ruffling their feathers as their nest is undergoing some changes ahead of the football season.

While the team had a rough 4-7 finish to 2023, they did do enough in region play to reach the state playoffs for a fourth straight year, ending in a first round exit at Demopolis.

Now Matt Mellown is leading the Eagles and he’s met much support from the Ozark community. He wants his team to perform strongly as they start the season away from home.

“The most important thing is we show some consistency early on. I think right now we’re struggling with that, we got really high days and really low days,” said Mellown. “I feel like our kids know our expectations now. We’re battling the same thing everybody else is battling.”
