Zip Trip: Dollywood Thrill Rides [Video]

PIGEON FORGE, TN (WSPA) – More than two million people visit Dollywood every year to enjoy its more than 50 rides and attractions.

If you have the need for speed, the park has you covered.

Dollywood’s Wildwood Grove area features its newest and longest attraction. Big Bear Mountain is a nearly four thousand-foot-long rollercoaster.

“There is a character that roams through Wildwood Grove named ‘Ned Oakley.’ This is his opportunity to take guests out to look for the elusive Big Bear,” Wes Ramey, Dollywood Public Relations Director, said.

The gigantic coaster opened in 2023 and is the first of its kind for Dollywood. Big Bear Mountain features on-board audio with the sounds of the elusive bear and messages from Ned,” according to Ramey.
