YSL judge apologizes for using N-word when reviewing evidence as trial wraps for the day [Video]

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Atlanta’s Young Slime Life (YSL) trial continues producing some of the most off-the-wall moments among watchers of judicial TV.

On Friday, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Paige Reese Whitaker was reviewing some social media posts that prosecutors want to use as evidence in the trial of the remaining two YSL defendants.

Whitaker was offering her opinion on this social media text: “I gotta do it for boo, these n****s lacking.” The only problem was, she read the text in its entirety, instead of paraphrasing it.

After a lunch break during the evidentiary hearing, Whitaker apologized.

Only Shannon Stillwell (aka SB) and Deamonte Kendrick (aka Yak Gotti) remain on trial in what has become Georgia’s longest trial in history, despite the fact the trial’s central figure – superstar rapper Young Thug – took a plea deal two weeks ago and is out on probation.
