Youth hockey teams playing to help family of 5-year-old killed in crash | News [Video]

SPOKANE, Wash. — The family of a five-year-old girl killed in a head-on crash is still recovering from the collision. In the meantime, a local hockey team will be playing a benefit game to show their support for the family.

The Spokane Braves are raising money for the Carollo family Saturday night during its game against the Nelson Leafs.

The Carollo family has played a huge role in the Spokane hockey community. The Braves are hoping this game will help lift the family up and support them through this unimaginable tragedy.

Amanda and Patrick Carollo are still recovering from serious injuries from a car crash that happened while they were on their way to Patrick’s hockey game.

Doctors say it will take another eight weeks before Amanda will be able to walk again.
