Young Lincoln leaders honored in fifth annual ceremony [Video]

The Lincoln Young Professionals Group celebrated young leaders during an awards ceremony on Thursday which named seven winners.

The group’s 2024 Young Lincoln Leader Awards honored contributions to the Lincoln community in the group’s fifth annual ceremony. The group has nearly 1,000 members and works to empower young professionals, according to a press release about the ceremony.

The awards ceremony had six different categories for individuals, between the ages of 21 and 40, including Young Professional of the Year. The other individual categories celebrated citizenry, entrepreneurship and leadership.

Organizations were also nominated in the Next Generation Workplace category, which ALLO Fiber won. Rose Cat Coffee also won the Diversity and Inclusive Excellence category which would normally go to an individual.

The awards ceremony was part of a larger YP Week held by the group which included speakers, panels, workshops and networking opportunities.
