Platte County families are upset and some even want their money back after the abrupt cancellation of the Blue Wave swim team at the YMCA Platte County Community Center North.The YMCA of Greater Kansas City advertises the Blue Wave as a place to take your swimming to the next level.But YMCA leadership last month told families that financial concerns and a dwindling number of swimmers are causing the program to shut down after this season.Parents and grandparents are concerned.Families just held a fundraiser swim-a-thon for the swim program in November.
