YMCA celebrates grand opening of new Learning Center [Video]

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – The YMCA of the Northern Sky celebrated the grand opening of its new YMCA Learning Center at Urban Plains on Monday, October 28.

The new facility opened in early August. It has nearly 240 spots for children and the YMCA says it’s designed to meet the growing need for quality early childhood care and education in our community.

Steve Smith, the President and CEO of the YMCA says the building is state-of-the-art and designed with children in mind.

“It’s just different because we’ve thought about the kids, and how the go about things; and where kids touch and go about in hallways and those types of things,” Smith explains.

The new 22,000 square foot Learning Center features two indoor gyms, outdoor learning center, and classrooms for all ages. Smith says the new center increases in the number of infant spots in the community.
