Yale scholar: The core values of Confucian culture are in the three Cs [Video]

The Tenth Nishan Forum on World Civilizations kicks off on July 10 in Qufu, east China’s Shandong Province, with the theme “Traditional Culture and Modern Civilization.” Mary Evelyn Tucker, a senior lecturer and research scholar at Yale University, summed up the core values of Confucian culture in three Cs: community, cultivation and cosmos. Confucianism’s rich tradition of ecological respect has provided the core theoretical support for constructing China’s ecological civilization.
