BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) – Throughout this week WVU students, faculty, and the greater Morgantown community celebrated their Annual Mountaineer Week. The week provides the opportunity to learn about the many unique aspects of the Appalachian lifestyle that make Mountaineers who they are. The week features many events such as a beard growing contest, folk music performances, and a quilt show. Ending with one of the main events people look forward to every year, the weekend long Arts and Crafts Fair. WVU Arts and Entertainment Marketing and Advertising Manager, Kristie Stewart- Gale, believes the week provides yet another opportunity to learn the importance of knowing where one comes from.
