ELKINS, W.Va (WDTV) – WVU Medicine officials and builders were on hand Tuesday at the topping off ceremony for the future Elkins Corridor Medical Center.
Doctors say today was about showing respect to all involved in the project.
“This is really just a tribute to all the people who have invested sweat equity down here getting this building going so quickly, this is a big milestone for us it denotes are committee to the community,” said David Hess, M.D., president/chief executive officer (CEO) of UHC.
The hospital center began construction in June of this year. The next step for the project is getting the roof up and studs on the structure. Project contractors say that the facility is on track to open up next September.
