A national nonprofit is asking for support to help remember our nation’s heroes this holiday season.Wreaths Across America places what it calls “remembrance wreaths” at participating veterans cemeteries.In Vermont there are six participating cemeteries. But the state’s largest, the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph, has never been able to raise enough money to place wreaths at the headstones of everyone laid to rest there.Last year they came close, but this year their goal is to have them all covered. It’s a meaningful way to say thank you to our veterans and to show that they’re never forgotten, especially around the holidays.”It doesn’t matter if they were in (the armed services) for 30 years or three years.
