ROCHESTER, Minn.- Students from Austin, Cannon Falls, Cotter, Goodhue, Red Wing and Rushford-Peterson public school districts came to a World Savvy education workshop at the Southeast Service Cooperative on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
“Changemaker Hubs: Reimagining K-12 Education: By Youth for Youth” is part of a series of collaborative workshops the non-profit is hosting with around 50 schools throughout the state in partnership with local youth groups like Bridgemakers and Youthprise.
According to Anne Sota, executive director for World Savvy’s Midwest Region, the point of workshops like this is to put students, educators and community members into conversation with each other about how to update education strategies to meet changing needs and a changing world.
This year’s workshop hosted 108 students from across 6 districts.
