Workforce Solutions hosts job fair for middle school students [Video]

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Workforce Solutions hosted 120 companies in Robstown on Wednesday, each offering a look at different careers in a job fair for middle school students. 

The vendors at the career fair wanted to ensure each student knew the endless opportunities that they will have when choosing a job.

“We’re just really trying to raise that awareness for students for them to know what kinds of high-paying jobs are here in the coastal bend,” Callie Walker with Gulf Coast Growth Ventures said.

Students were able to ask questions about college majors they should focus on considering their particular interests and the opportunities available in just one field.

For many students like Anani Hernandez, this was their first career fair, but they are already thinking about their future plans.
