CHARLOTTE — PowerHouse Data Centers is expected to soon begin work on its 122-acre development in Charlotte.
The data center owner and developer expects to begin site work this quarter at its property off University City Boulevard.
PowerHouse partnered with real estate investment management firm Town Lane to acquire the site for $45.5 million in August 2024.
The project — named PowerHouse Charlotte — will include four data center buildings developed across two phases.
The work beginning this quarter will focus on-site preparation, including road construction and pad development for a neighboring Duke Energy substation.
