Work continues on Eden Village tiny homes project | News [Video]

TULSA, Okla. — A local organization is trying to end homelessness in Tulsa one tiny home at a time.

Eden Village is building tiny homes for those experiencing homelessness on 17 acres of land in northwest Tulsa.

The homes are near Charles Page Boulevard and the Gilcrease Expressway.

The nearly finished gated community is using semi-permeable pavement to help with drainage and reduce maintenance — meaning water will be able to pass through the road more easily.

“So, it’s going to look really nice and cool. Again, it’s three times stronger than asphalt. So, we think this will be the first of many projects that are going to be coming into Tulsa to utilize this permeable paving,” said Brad Johnson, founder of Eden Village.

The project is set to start allowing people to move in early September, when the first of the tiny homes will be finished.
