Woman’s phone found 3.5 miles away from where she was last seen at Grand Canyon [Video]

On December 19, Grand Canyon National Park issued a press release related to a woman who was last seen on December 10. A month later, her whereabouts remain unknown.

Missing person Martha Overholser, 66 and of Michigan, had traveled alone to the Grand Canyon on a commercial bus tour, with her last being seen in the area of Mather Point on the canyon’s southern rim. She is believed to have been walking west from Mather Point, potentially toward Bright Angel Lodge or Hermits Rest.

FOX reports that Overholser’s phone was found below the canyon’s rim along Hermit Road near an area called The Abyss. This is roughly 3.5 miles west of Mather Point, where she was last seen.
