CLEVELAND — Lorain police are trying to identify a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that left a woman with serious leg injuries on Christmas Day.
The Lorain Police Department said in a press release that the crash happened near the median changeover in the 1100 block of Tower Boulevard near Tysons Road just before 6 p.m. Wednesday. Police say a 67-year-old woman was walking north across the road near the median when she was hit by a vehicle driving eastbound.
According to police, the driver of the vehicle, which was described to officers as a truck, fled the scene and continued driving east.
The victim was transported to a hospital by EMS. She is in stable condition being treated for “serious injuries” to one leg, police said.
