A New York woman has filed a lawsuit against the sandwich giant Subway over what she alleges are “grossly misleading” ads that do not accurately represent the product.
Anna Tolison is behind that lawsuit filed Monday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York. She alleges in her suit that when she ordered a $6.99 Steak & Cheese sandwich from a Subway location this summer, she did not receive anything close to the advertising she based her decision on.
She shares in the lawsuit that the Queen Subway shop didn’t offer her the same generous helpings of thinly sliced steak and cheese that are shown in photos on Subway’s app.
“There was barely any steak in the sandwich,” according to the suit.
