A 28-year-old woman is seeking support from the Reddit community after a heated dispute with her sister over borrowing her car.
The story began when she let her older sister Emma borrow her car after hers broke down. “She couldn’t afford to fix it, and since I work from home and don’t use my car every day, I told her she could use it when she needed,” the woman explains in the post.
While the arrangement seemed okay at first, it quickly became an issue when the poster noticed the vehicle would be returned with a nearly empty gas tank each time. “The first couple of times, I didn’t say anything because I figured maybe she just forgot. After that, I was like ‘Hey, can you make sure you put some gas in the car next time? It’s kind of annoying to always find it empty.’ ”
