Woman killed in single-vehicle Lincoln Parish crash [Video]

RUSTON, La. (KNOE) – Around 1 p.m. Louisiana State Police responded to reports of a deadly single-vehicle crash on Highway 33 south of Highway 3072.

A preliminary investigation revealed that 54-year-old Doshia Goodjoint was driving south on Highway 33 in a 2007 Toyota Camry when — for reasons still under investigation — her vehicle left the road and collided with a tree.

Goodjoint was unrestrained at the time of the crash and sustained severe injuries. She was taken to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

In a press release, LSP said they did not suspect she was impaired. Officials said routine toxicology samples were collected and will be submitted for analysis.

This is an ongoing investigation.
