Woman killed in domestic-related shooting at Redford motel [Video]

REDFORD (WWJ) A man is in custody in connection with a fatal shooting at a Redford motel.

Redford Police said they responded to the Travelers Motor Inn on Telegraph near Chicago regarding a shooting—on Saturday, November 9th, at 4:57 a.m. When they arrived, they found a woman with a gunshot wound who still had a pulse.

The Redford Fire Department took the woman to the hospital where she died from her injuries.

Officers identified a man at the motel “believed to be involved with the shooting” and arrested him, police said in a press release.

Police said the shooting is believed to be “domestic-related”; but did not give any information on the relationship between the suspect and the victim, or a possible motive.

“This appears to be an isolated incident and no danger to the community exists,” police said.

The victim’s name and age were not released.
