LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – One person has died after a single-vehicle crash in southwestern Lancaster County late Monday night.
It happened around 11:30 p.m. just east of Southwest 29th and West Panama Road, about three miles south of the village of Sprague.
In a press release from the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, Sgt. Scott Gaston said the dispatch center received an Apple Alert indicating a crash had occurred in the area.
“OnStar alerted the user to push a button where the single occupant, Sharon K. Gana, 78, from Martell, was able to speak with dispatch,” Gaston stated in the press release. “Information was relayed that she had struck something, there was an airbag deployment and she was unable to get out of her vehicle.”
