Woman arrested after organizing street takeovers on social media: New Haven PD [Video]

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — New Haven police arrested a woman Tuesday who they said helped organize street takeovers around the state on social media.

Kimberly Hueffman, 47, of Milford is facing a charge of inciting a riot, police said.

On Oct. 22, 2024, the New Haven Police Department’s Real Time Crime Center learned of a planned street takeover while monitoring multiple social media platforms.

Using an Instagram account with the name Finnalwarning, police said Hueffman repeatedly announced and facilitated illegal street takeovers in New Haven and around Connecticut. 

The takeovers “caused significant disturbances in the community, blocked public roadways” and created “dangerous conditions for residents, pedestrians and participants,” according to police.

Investigators determined Hueffman was behind the account, leading to her arrest on Tuesday.
