Wojnarowski joins St. Bonaventure as men’s basketball GM [Video]

Olean, N.Y. (WBEN) – The Buffalo sports scene had its own “Woj Bomb” dropped on it Wednesday morning.

St. Bonaventure University has announced Adrian Wojnarowski, ESPN Senior NBA insider, will join the school as general manager for its men’s basketball program.

Wojnarowski will help the Bonnies’ coaching staff with ever-important name, image and likeness (NIL) opportunities. “Woj” will also have a hand in recruiting, including building relationships with players’ families, as well as fundraising for the program.

The longtime NBA insider graduated from St. Bonaventure in 1991, and has worked at ESPN since 2017. He is now walking away from ESPN just two years after signing a contract extension.

“I understand the commitment required in my role, and it’s an investment that I’m no longer driven to make,” Wojnarowski said of his time at ESPN. “Time isn’t in endless supply and I want to spend mine in ways that are more personally meaningful.”
