BUFFALO, N.Y. — The WNY Women’s Foundation presented their ‘What She’s Made Of 2024’ event on Monday night at Electric City in downtown Buffalo.
The event featured special guest Kathrine Switzer, who made history as the first woman to successfully register for and run the Boston Marathon.
What She’s Made Of is one of the foundation’s signature events and brings people together in support of uplifting the women in the community.
The night combines networking and an empowering keynote presentation. This year’s event also celebrated the foundation’s 25th Anniversary.
Kathrine Switzer is described as a true trailblazer. She took her inspiring moment at the 1967 Boston Marathon and turned it into a lifetime of service.
